What you need is chili powder. This contains the alkaloid capsaicin which works as an insecticide. That is why this powder is very effective in repelling and killing pests and aphids that come into contact with the plant. Now let’s see how you have to use it.
All you have to do is take a liter of warm water and add half a teaspoon of chili powder inside. Mix these two well until the powder dissolves completely. Then add a couple of drops of delicate natural soap to make the product adhere better to the plants.
Once you have stirred well, let this solution rest for 48 hours. Then after two days filter the solution. You can use it either so or diluted in additional water. If it is the first time it is better to opt for the second solution as this concentrate is very strong. Spray when the plant needs it.
Other remedies against these parasites
There are also other remedies to eliminate aphids from plants always in a natural way. In fact, as an alternative to chili powder you can use these products:
- Neem oil: it is a natural insecticide that can be applied to plants. It goes to disinfest the plant and kill aphids. It also prevents them from spreading.
