Sean Stone, a producer who worked on action films starring Bruce Willis, starred Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Kevin Dillion and Mel Gibson has died. He was 31.

Stone passed away on Tuesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, as confirmed by his family to The Hollywood Reporter. He had been battling metastatic neuroendocrine cancer of the colon since his diagnosis in July.

Hailing from New Jersey, Stone completed his education at the University of Arizona before relocating to Los Angeles in 2017 to pursue his passion for filmmaking. His journey in the industry began at CAA in the same year, where he gained valuable experience working under the mentorship of Dave Bugliari and Jack Whigham.

Later, he transitioned to Emmett/Furla in 2020, initially serving as an assistant and eventually branching out as a freelance executive producer for various film projects.

Throughout his career, Stone contributed significantly to several feature films, including the action thriller “Hot Seat,” featuring Kevin Dillon and Mel Gibson, the suspenseful “Wrong Place,” starring Bruce Willis and Ashley Greene, and “Wire Room,” which also starred Willis and Dillon.

His progression in the industry led him to produce “Cash Out,” a film starring John Travolta set to be released in April, as well as an upcoming sequel.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Stone had a wide array of interests, including painting, sports, hibachi, music, and Shark Week.

He is survived by his parents, David and Ileen, his siblings Ashley, Justin, Michael, Mallory, and Brian, his brother-in-law Thomas Smith, his sisters-in-law Christine Stone and Jenna Yeo, and his nieces Ella and Sloane.
